What our guests says about facilities
The hotel offers amenities for your comfortable stay and unforgettable experiences
Cozy Cabin Vibes
I stayed in a fabulous cabin that had a wonderful retro feel with lacquered tongue and groove wood siding. The beds were comfortable, and it had a larger than normal refrigerator which was super handy. They even provided a complimentary breakfast-to-go with blueberry muffins!

Clean & Inviting
The bathroom was very clean, which is always a priority for me. I appreciated the large counter space and found the hot water in the shower reliably plentiful. Just the way I like it after a long day of exploring!

Comfortable & Quiet
After a long 7-hour drive, I found the bed to be exceptionally soft and inviting, allowing for a restful night's sleep. The room was also very quiet, ensuring I could recharge for the adventures ahead!

Great Relaxation
I loved the large flat screen TV in the room! It made unwinding after a long day a breeze. I could catch up on my favorite shows with fantastic picture quality. This is definitely a great feature for any traveler!

Staying at Whispering Sands in Hanksville was a pleasant surprise after a long day on the road. The rooms were clean and had a charming log cabin feel. However, the breakfast options were quite limited, and there were some issues with the advertised handicapped accessibility. Overall, it offered great value for a quick overnight stay.

This motel is a hidden gem in a remote area. Everything was super clean, and I appreciated the quiet surroundings for a good night's sleep. The bathroom amenities were top-notch, but there were some cleanliness issues that detracted from my experience. Overall, it's still a great value for the money considering the limited options in this area.

Our stay at Whispering Sands was okay but had many downsides. While it served its purpose as a budget motel, the experience was marred by a variety of issues, including room size, noise, and service. It's not the best option if you're seeking quality, but it might suffice for a quick stopover in a remote location.
Rooms
5.0
The room was very small, and we felt cramped with four people. The heater was excessively powerful, making it uncomfortable at night.
Service
5.0
The staff did not handle our check-in well and there was no apology for the room mix-up. We felt rushed during checkout.
Location

Hanksville is quite isolated, but this motel might be one of the better choices in the area.

I had a great experience staying in Hanksville while exploring Goblin Valley. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the motel provided excellent value for the price. The only downside was the slow internet, but that's understandable given the remote location. Overall, I found it to be a quiet and affordable place to rest after a day of adventures.
